Roulette
The key events of a roulette game on any wheel can be detected:
- Dealing of ball
- No more bets (based on speed of ball in rim)
- Winning number
- Void game (ball removed, hand entering the wheel)
In addition the speed and orientation of the wheel, and ball position is reported in real time which allows betting terminals or displays to mimic the wheel behaviour using renderings or predefined movies.
The software outputs data using standard industry protocols. The camera can be flexibly located in relation to the wheel; from directly overhead to around 45 degrees from horizontal. The software only requires a very low resolution view of the wheel so the camera can be at a large distance.
Chips on the betting layout are also monitored and in combination with wheel recognition, can be used to detect late betting; see revenue protection.
